When people ask me, what is my favorite city, I am torn. But I will say that Charleston ranks as one of my top three US cities. I love it because it is historic, clean, fun to walk around, and the people couldn't be nicer. There was a law passed in Charleston that says if a building is 75 years old, it can not be torn down. People resisted this law, but today, it's one of the major reasons why Charleston is so appealing. Here just a few shots of the beauty Charleston has to offer.

Charleston has survived hurricanes and even a devastating earthquake. You can see on the left picture a few round black bolts. Metallic bars go throughout the middle of each structure to add support. These are mandatory in Charleston, as if an earthquake struck once, it can strike again. On the right is where South Carolina ratified the Constitution. Some say the building is haunted.

In the middle is Ed Grimball ... he's one of the best tour guides I have ever met. Look him up if ever in Charleston.
