John Brown's Fort Monument. Oddly enough, around the corner one can find "The Secret Six Tavern," a local eatery named after the financers of John Brown's Raid.

Harper's Ferry is a great National Park. It' snot just about John Brown. There is plenty of Civil War, Civil Rights, and industrial history to go around. Shops and museums are back to back ... so it's perfect for anyone who is traveling with someone who finds all of this stuff boring.
