Home of the Golden Spike ...

Stanford is a beautiful campus, with a great museum free to the public. The University is named for Leland Stanford's son, whose life was tragically cut short because of illness. Above is the Golden Spike.

Leland Stanford was governor of California before the Transcontinental Railroad was completed in 1869. CLICK HERE SO MR. KLAFF CAN TEACH YOU MORE MORE ABOUT THE TRANSCONTINENTAL RAILROAD.
