Yes, that is the Eiffel Tower behind what looks to be the Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World is its true name). A little lesson on the Statue of Liberty: It was given to the US for the anniversary of the centennial after Independence. Then, in 1889, Americans made a replica ... though much smaller (take that France!) It rests a short walk from the Eiffel Tower. There are other replicas around Paris, most of which face west towards their older sister. But, another statue that salutes the Statue of Liberty, is Minerva, the goddess of wisdom, who salutes the Statue from Greenwood Cemetery across the river in Brooklyn.
