Question:
How do interest groups impact elections?
Answer: Interest groups raise a ton of money in
campaign contributions
for candidates. This money is used for everything from leasing
an office for volunteer staff, to buying airtime for
commercials. Having a large staff is important for aiding the
GOTV (Get Out The
Vote) movement. This is a means of getting supporters, who
don’t normally vote, to cast a ballot.
