Ollayantambo

Like Machu Picchu, Ollayantambo is a former ancient city of the Incas. However, unlike Machu Picchu, people still live there! It's really interesting to walk from the ruins, into an ancient livable city. Below are some more pictures.

A closer look at Viracocha on the mountain.

Of all sites around the world I have visited, I found the Peru ones to be the easiest to get seriously hurt or worse! In so many places one is just a slip on the rocks away from a 500 foot drop!

Below is a look into the city. The guy on the right was given a lot of material goods because his property was on the ancient site of Ollayantambo. However, the man didn't want the western goods, and instead lives a low maintenance lifestyle. For some reason, he was waving a Canadian flag at me.
