Travel Manual To see the Most ... Quick, and Cheap.

You clicked on this for one reason. You want to see as much of the country as possible in the shortest amount of time. If you want to stop, admire, take in the scenery, and canoe for three days straight – then don't read this! But if you want to brag to your friends that you have seen every major site in the US, and make it seem like you have been traveling since you were 7 years old, then keep reading. In the pages that follow I am going to show you how to see many states in one week, and do it cheaply. Imagine a world where you can wake up in Yellowstone National Park, watch the sun set amidst a biker rally at Mount Rushmore, and then fall asleep in Minnesota for a 50 dollar slumber. Picture the feeling of waking up in front of the Fargo Walk of Fame in North Dakota, walking through the Field of Dreams in Iowa at lunchtime, and falling asleep after eating barbecue in Kansas City, Missouri 4 states later.

It’s all possible. When I first started traveling, I never understood how anyone could spend 7 days in only one place. I mean, why would anyone spend a full week in San Francisco to check out the Wells Fargo Specialty Museum, or sit down and read a book at Golden Gate Park? Let the locals do that! We have stuff to do! After cable cars, and Alcatraz, I would way rather check out Yosemite National Park for lunch, and watch some lousy show in Reno at night. I’m sure the Grand Canyon would be a great place to check out for two days … but come on! With only 5 days off from work, how long can I look at a hole in the ground?  It’s much more efficient to marvel at it for an hour, then go south to Sedona for lunch, and be at Bank One Ballpark by nightfall for a Diamondbacks Game. Are you with me? First, we must start with a description of how to do this.
