- Controversial Presidential decisions: FDR and Japanese Internment,
Lincoln and suspending habeas corpus, and George W. Bush's Patriot
Act.

- Major events of the 1950s and their impacts on society. (Korean
War, Montgomery Bus Boycott, and launching of Sputnik).
